The way I've learned about fashion has been through the language of the clothing itself. Growing up rural, where re-use was expected not applauded, gave me a sense of finding value, quality, and style anywhere I saw it. By literally searching resale stores everywhere I travel,  as well as the dedicated circuit I run (3 or 4 times) weekly here at home, I score amazing fashion items that have been lost in the shuffle.! This has become a side business for me! As a fashion stylist and style enthusiast I love to help people step up their sartorial presentation in unique and creative ways that will encourage their own personal growth.  That is why I now have Fashionfarmboy outlets in Milwaukee, at Beauty on Farwell, and Lela Boutique in the Third Ward, as well as men's hand picked vintage items at SHOO in Madison, on State Street.  Fashion has no idea how much you spent on it, nor where it came from.  Great style is just great style, end of conversation.

If you'd like me to come to your home and do a closet intervention, I am available at a reasonable hourly rate to help you pare down to the items that not only make sense in your life, but bring a sense of joy to your style.  Keeping items that you don't really like because you paid a lot for them just doesn't make sense.  Likewise, items that you don't fit, but may in the future seems defeatist to me.  Keep what you love and what fits and flatters!  That is my mantra.  I am also one of the only stylists who will do personal thrift and vintage shopping with clients for a reasonable fee as well.  Supporting charities that support your community is a no-brainer in my book, so that's why I shop resale and thrift as much as possible.
